About QM Bristol
Back in 2009, Members-Bristol was born, with an idea to bring together like-minded gay men for regular non-scene midweek evening meet-ups. A chance to make new friends, catch up with old ones and maybe do a little networking. There may even have been the odd hook-up!!
Fast-forward 11 years and coronavirus makes meeting up in this way impossible and so for two years Members disappeared from the Bristol queer landscape. But now we're back! Bolder than ever, with a new name, new venues and a new attitude!
Why the name change? Members has served us all very well for over 13 years, but we feel the time is right for a change. There's no membership required at QM and events will always be free, except for special events that involve dining or specific add-ons.
Quite like Meeting up?
Each year, we'll be hosting monthly events in spring, summer and autumn before hibernating for the winter. We've previously held our events at a single venue, however QM's new philosophy will be to always try something new - meaning our events will move around. Although our events primarily attract men and those who identify as male, everyone is welcome at a QM event.
We won't necessarily always have the venue to ourselves but we'll usually have a reserved area. We'll be trying out different timings and our events won't always be in a bar.
Look out for QM@... which will form our event names eg QM@St George's

The original ethos behind Members still stands - we are an alternative to the many apps and niche club nights out there.
We simply provide a safe space for people to socialise over a drink - to meet new friends and re-connect with existing friends.

Members was always famed for its eclectic mix of music playlists that formed the perfect soundtrack to your evening.
QM will continue this tradition but we'll also be branching out a little by hosting our own gatherings at other events where live musical entertainment may be provided.
Expect to hear contemporary pop, a touch of jazz, classic indie and the very best of soul, r'n'b and banging dance-floor fillers, all played at just the right volume for you to enjoy but still chat to friends without shouting.
